UQAT researchers are working on the mutual sharing and co-development of groundwater knowledge with the Cree Nation in Eeyou Istchee.
Supported through the MELCCFP Plan national de l’eau, the project brings together Indigenous knowledge, community priorities, and scientific hydrogeological information. It will develop accessible approaches for communicating groundwater knowledge and identifying local concerns related to water availability, quality, and long-term protection.
Éric Rosa leads the project, with Vincent Cloutier and Rahim Barzegar as co-principal investigators.
