Phases 2 and 3 of the Groundwater Knowledge Acquisition Project in the Chisasibi sector focus on field data collection and the integration of hydrogeological knowledge.

The work includes soil and water sampling, hydraulic testing, geophysical surveys, geochemical analyses, drone imagery, and satellite-data processing. Artificial-intelligence approaches adapted to large northern territories will support analysis of the collected information.

Supported by the MELCCFP PACES Program and involving the Cree Nation of Chisasibi, the project is led by Éric Rosa, with Vincent Cloutier and Rahim Barzegar as co-principal investigators.
